Nearly two decades ago, two professors decided to turn their knowledge into a concrete contribution to the community through technology. That approach still shapes Comp-IT today — in the way we think, work, and approach every project.
Where it all began
Comp-IT was founded in 2006 as a sister company of Comp-2000, by two professors from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo. From the very beginning, the idea was not simply to develop software, but to contribute to the real needs of the community and the business environment through knowledge, responsibility, and a systematic approach.
The academic mindset that the founders brought into the company remains the foundation of everything we do — precision, long-term thinking, responsibility, and a focus on quality rather than short-term or improvised solutions.
From the start, Comp-IT was not built as a typical service provider, but as a partner for organizations seeking stable, reliable, and long-term sustainable technology solutions.

Stable growth and a clear direction
Over the years, Comp-IT evolved alongside the needs of its clients and the development of technology. We did not follow trends for the sake of trends — we expanded where there was a real need for quality and long-term solutions.
Moving into SaaS development was a natural step. Organizations needed systems that were scalable, sustainable, and secure — not software that lasted briefly and constantly required starting over.
Today, we develop digital platforms and business systems used in everyday operations, and the company has also expanded into the field of solar panels and solar energy, as a continuation of the same philosophy — applying knowledge to real, long-term challenges.

The same knowledge, a new generation
One of the founders, although now retired, still actively contributes to the company through an advisory role. This is not symbolic presence, but a conscious decision to ensure that the knowledge and principles on which the company was built are not lost over time.
Today, Comp-IT is led by the next generation — the daughters of the founder, who have taken on responsibility through years of working within the company and have continued to shape its direction.
This is not a family story for the sake of emotion. It is a continuity of knowledge, experience, and responsibility — the same view of quality, the same approach to work, and the same commitment to serious, long-term solutions.
